Kristen Rios, MSW
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker #125643

Kristen Rios is an Associate Clinical Social Worker based in California working under a Licensed Therapist. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can feel comfortable opening up and working through life’s challenges.

Kristen earned her Master of Social Work from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work in 2018, where she specialized in families, youth, and children, with a minor in Military Service Members, veterans, and their families. Before that, she graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Sociology and an emphasis in Criminology in 2015.

She is accepting new clients: adults, couples, service members/veterans, and military families. Areas that she help clients navigate are anxiety, self-esteem, depression, stress, relationship challenges, communication issues, conflict resolution, addiction, trauma, guilt, shame, breakups, grief and loss, and adjusting to life changes.

Kristen uses evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT. Her goal is to meet you where you are, build on your strengths, and help you develop practical strategies to improve your well-being.

Therapy with her is a collaborative process. She believe in breaking challenges down into manageable steps and setting realistic goals that align with your unique needs. Most importantly, she strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

When she's not working, you can find her gardening, exploring nature on walks, fishing, or camping with her family — all things that help her recharge and stay grounded.

Kristen knows starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but taking this first step shows strength. She look forward to working with you and being supportive on your journey.
